 If you've been ready to share your Catholic faith with others in a dynamic way through the corporal and spiritual works of mercy precisely during the days we live -by Our Lord's side - his Passion, Death and Resurrection, this is your chance...


A Holy Week missionary will:

touch the lives of others through simple acts of mercy - words of hope and love as they encounter a homeless person, a kind smile to a stranger in need, feeding the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, visiting the sick; their mere welcoming presence will often spark in the lonely passer-by the desire to discover to Christ, again or for the first time...

Teen Mission Calendar

High School Guys and Girls 

(15 and up, overnight, 17th-20th, separate lodgings at parish facilities)


Wednesday April 17:  

  • 6:00pm Arrival to our host parish: Mater Dolorosa Church on 1228 S. Carrollton
  • 7:15pm Commissioning Mass for all missionaries and their families.
  • 8:00 Missionary training and orientation, fellowship + icebreakers
  • 10:00 Inter-City Missionary Zoom conference!

Thursday April 18:

  • 8:00am breakfast
  • 8:40 directed prayer, training
  • 10:00am Place door hangers en route to Chateau de Notre Dame
  • 12:30 Depart for The New Orleans Mission homeless shelter
  • ​7:00 Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper at St. Louis Cathedral
  • 9:00 - 11:00 Eucharistic Adoration, "Operation Gesthemanie" in Jackson Square 

Friday April 19:

  • 8:00am Directed prayer
  • 9:30 Way of the Cross through the City  
  • 12:30 Lunch, Cross Walk Jackson Square
  • 1:00 Crosswalk downtown.
  • 3:00 Celebration of the Lord's Passion @ Mater Dolorosa
  • 5:00 training, homeless meal prep
  • 8:00 Depart for "Midnight Run" feeding the homeless.

Saturday April 20:

  • 9:30am Breakfast
  • ​10:00am Directed prayer
    10:30 Prepare lunches for homeless
  • 11:00 Departure for cemetary
    12:30 Lunch at Mater Dolorosa
    1:30 Depart for city, street evangelization and feeding the homeless
    ​5:30 Dinner, testimonials.​
  • 8:00  Solemn Easter Vigil at Mater Dolorosa. Followed by "Alleluia gathering"- all invited!

Family Mission Calendar

Families with children​ (17th-20th, during the day, own lodgings)


Wednesday April 17:  

  • 6:00pm Arrival to our host parish: Mater Dolorosa Church on 1228 S. Carrollton.
  • 7:15pm Commissioning Mass for all missionaries and their families.
  • 8:00 Missionary training and orientation, retire for the night




Thursday April 18:  

  • 8:40am Directed prayer, training
  • 10:00 Depart for Chateu de Notre Dame ​nursing home
  • 11:00 lunch
  • 11:30 Depart for The New Orleans Mission homeless shelter
  • ​5:30 Dinner at Mater Dolorosa
  • 7:00 Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper at Mater Dolorosa Church
  • 8:00 Eucharistic Adoration at Mater Dolorosa, retire.

Friday April 19:

  • 8:30am Depart Mater Dolorosa
  • 9:30 Way of the Cross through the City
  • 12:00 Lunch +Cross Walk Jackson Square
  • 3:00 Celebration of the Lord's Passion @ Mater Dolorosa
  • 5:00 prepare homeless meals, cards for food bank
  • 8:00 retire.
